From time to time, a woman’s moods and emotions can turn to a violent one.
But if you’re having one of those times, it’s time to take your family and friends out for a dinner date or get a drink with friends.
“If you want to get back in the swing of things, it would be helpful to take a break and relax, because otherwise, you may become unstable and lose control,” says Jennifer Mancuso, a family therapist and author of the new book, “When to Break Up with Your Kids: Your Guide to Handling Your Marriage, Relationships, and Family Life.”
She recommends trying to keep the kids busy, but also asking them to be attentive and to not have to keep an eye on each other.
“You may need to find a new job and have some other activities,” she says.
“Then you can just focus on your own happiness.”
If you’re feeling particularly stressed, a friend or relative can offer support and help.
But you can also make your own time to recharge and recharge, says Mancoso.
“The idea is to find the time to do what you really enjoy doing,” she explains.
Mancuoso says it’s a good idea to try to stay in touch with your kids, because they can be especially sensitive about things like work schedules, holidays, and when you should have dinner.
“It’s a great way to stay focused,” she adds.
And she suggests trying to avoid getting involved in arguments.
“Even if you have a good relationship, you’ll have to have some fights or breakups if you want your kids to stay together.”
For the rest of us, the key is to keep your relationships as close as possible.
And, if you don’t feel like you’re being close enough to your kids right now, you can always try a new approach.
“Just be aware that they are young, and they need your support and love,” Mancusa says.
